“Complaint against Property Owner”
I paid 2700 for the room as quoted, then the owner added Rs. 595.00 claiming unpaid taxes, but it turned out he had cancelled the booking to avoid paying commission. This is absurd and shows the owner is deceiving guests. I also never got hot water when I needed it. The property is far from the temple, and the room looks nothing like the photos on the portal. Staying there was peaceful because prayers and chanting were constant, but I’m upset by the owner’s trickery.
“Mayapur - not worth visiting unless you are a devotee who's searching God anywhere else than inside.”
The hotel sits in a cramped alley and parking is almost impossible for a 7‑seater; the whole area smells strongly of a nearby cow barn. Water supply is spotty, sometimes interrupted by plumbing problems, and the bed is smaller than a queen. In the bathroom, an open fanlight lets painters in, so three floorboarders have to climb stairs. There are many better options on the main road that look much nicer. It’s better to arrive and look for other hotels. The water in the bathroom is unreliable, amenities are very basic, and the Mayapur location is really meant for devotees, not regular travelers, so guests have to accept the shortcomings and pay without complaint.
“Great Place in Mayapur”
I had a great experience; the room was well equipped, Anant Prabhu was very helpful, and they offered extra services like airport pick‑up and drop‑off.
