Pousada Tarumim is situated in Vale do Capão, 400 meters from the Fumaça Waterfall trail and 1.5 km from Vilarejo do Capão. The lodge is gorgeous and quiet, with a hammock in front of every room for a peaceful view; a very cute and friendly little dog is there, parking is available, and the team is super attentive; breakfast offers a great variety and is delicious; there’s a market, a café, and the Fumaça trail is nearby (everything is walkable); the village is a bit far on foot but quick by car and the access is very easy. The only downside was the shower that had little water, though the water that did come out was warm.

Spacious rooms with a quick‑food area, excellent bed and shower, and a very good breakfast. The lodge is a bit farther from the village, but for me driving it wasn’t an issue. I only missed a table with a chair for occasional work and better internet quality.
