Pousada Ouro de Minas sits in Tiradentes’ historic center, a 1‑km walk from Santo Antonio Church and 500 m from Largo das Forras Square. The 300‑m garden setting offers a pool, sauna, free Wi‑Fi, parking, and a barbecue. Rooms feature country décor, wooden floors, TV, ceiling fan, and select private hot tubs or fireplaces. A homemade breakfast buffet showcases local goiaba, fresh cheese rolls, and milk bread.

The pousada is great, especially the hearty breakfast. However, it needs to fix the issue of birds flying into the breakfast area, landing on the food tables, and pecking at the food, which made me feel the hygiene was lacking. I stayed on the ground floor and liked the room. Parking is available in front of the pousada, but it’s uncovered and unprotected; if the hotel is fully booked, there may not be spots for everyone. When I visit Tiradentes or another historic town, I prefer to stay close to the bars and restaurants. The pousada is nearby (I can’t define the exact distance), but it takes a walk to the square where the bars and restaurants are.

We stayed at a pousada right next to the historic center and walked everywhere. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was good. I wished there was a place to put my luggage; for a couple with two bags we only had the wardrobe space, so I improvised with a chair.

The staff’s service was flawless. The room and bathroom were a good size. The breakfast was excellent. The location is convenient, just a walk to the city center, so you avoid being in the middle of the bustle.
