“Great location and friendly staff.”
The place is great; overlooking the beach and everything that Sandbanks and nearby Canford Cliffs have to offer is within easy walking distance, and the ferry to Studland is nearby. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the bar was fairly modern and very clean. There was nice outdoor space to sit overlooking the beach with a drink at an outside bar, but it was closed because we were out of season. The bedroom was a great size with a fabulous view, and the bathroom was clean. The staff noticed it was a birthday weekend and left a card and a gorgeous box of chocolates in the room—a lovely touch. Not much to dislike, but the property is tired and in need of a lick of paint. The bedroom was a great size, generally clean, and had a fabulous view, but the paint was coming off the windows, there was a dirty smear mark on the back of the bathroom door, and the carpet needed a good clean. Breakfast was okay, but the milk was off. I think the prices are based on its position rather than anything else.
