“Wunderschönes Resort, aber leider haben einige Dinge nicht gepasst!”
The architecture and overall design of the resort impressed me; the rooms were beautiful, with wonderful materials and clever construction. The resort was genuinely lovely and relaxing, and the staff were friendly and attentive. However, the rooms were very noisy; when it rained, the sound on the roof was so loud that earplugs didn't help and we woke up every time. It was disappointing that so many people from outside used the pool during the day, even though I had read in the comments that this was an issue and the resort had promised new rules. They didn't implement any changes. I was also bothered by the fact that the entire resort is smoke‑free, a detail that wasn't mentioned in the descriptions when we booked. While I appreciate having smoke‑free zones in the restaurant or around the pool, the whole resort being smoke‑free should have been communicated. Communication was another surprise: at the end of our stay we were told we had to pay our entire restaurant and bar bill for the week with PayPal instead of by card, even though card payments were normally accepted. We ended up paying about 10 % PayPal fees on the whole bill, which was really annoying.
