“Mitten im Quartieri Spagnoli”
Speranzella 86 is located on the eponymous street in the Quartieri Spagnoli. The Neapolitan balcony with a clothesline captures the city’s full vibrancy: people chat, cars and mopeds squeeze through, and a trattoria lines up next to another. The food is delicious and authentic! A tiny narrow door in the portal leads to the courtyard with its quirky external lift. Positively, you’re greeted warmly. Signor Maurizio gave me a city map, marked the main sights, and explained how the door locks work. It’s very positive for me to meet a friendly host in person rather than enter a house via a code. The rooms and furnishings are lovingly kept, and everything is spotless. The bathroom has a small cabinet for personal toiletries. All tourist spots are within walking distance, and the funicular to the beautiful Vomero hill is around the corner. I’ll definitely come back. Thank you, Maria‑Grazia and Maurizio. I liked everything.
