The location is amazing for beach and surf! A school group stayed for a whole day, using the shared spaces and turning the normally peaceful environment into a loud, chaotic contest. They should not host a large group in shared spaces while other guests are staying.

Casa Lobos is an amazing hostel/hotel right on the beach. Jose and his team were very kind and helpful. I got all the comfort and attention I could have wished for. I was also happy to meet other surfers, solo travellers, and nice groups of friends from every continent. The overall experience far exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it.

The location, surfer vibe, board rentals are positives. It was hot, there was a fan but it didn’t point well at the bed, and there was no hot water even though we were told there would be.
