The photos really matched what we saw in the rooms, and the staff were fantastic, showing us the best local products for a truly pleasant experience.

The houseboat itself was amazing, and the staff were humble and well-behaved, with an excellent location. The food was only average, and we weren’t taken by a shikara at check‑out; instead a simple boat was sent, which was not what we expected from the owner.

The location was great, perfect for a one‑night stay to experience houseboats. If you plan to use it as a base for your whole Kashmir trip, Mr Goona can arrange tours and sightseeing as a package. The staff were friendly and the food fresh and healthy, so I recommend it to other tourists. The only downside is that a small boat ride (1–2 min) is needed to reach the houseboat, making it less suitable for very elderly guests.
