The welcome was very good, the kitchen was fully equipped, and the bedroom and living room were spacious with a sea view. The host was friendly and smiling, but the walk to the entrance takes 10 minutes on a downhill path and the curtains lack opacity.

The bed was truly comfortable. However, there were no curtains in the bathroom and dressing area (the bathroom has partial curtains that don’t cover the window), raising privacy concerns. The kitchen and three additional rooms made the space very large. The main door has a lock, but the other rooms only have simple keys, and when I checked in the owner was in another room, which made me uneasy about security.

The house is pretty with a stunning ocean view and is within walking distance from Kawana train station. The owner is super friendly and the BBQ is available; I’ll come back. There is a second floor that other travelers might occupy, and because it’s an old house it’s a bit poorly insulated, but nothing major.
