The location was simply amazing; opening the curtains revealed a bridge and the sea right in front of me, and both the daytime weather and the night view were stunning. The interior was stylish and pleasing. The room had no TV or clock, so I could just enjoy the scenery. I booked a plan that included breakfast and dinner, but the dinner was overall mediocre. The mushroom and meat stuffed appetizer was unevenly warm, as if it had been left to sit before being served. The shrimp and main meat seemed intentionally charred, giving a strong bitterness. The dessert and breakfast were tasty. During dinner I went to the bathroom and every stall had no toilet paper and it hadn’t been restocked. The elevator was small.

The hotel is right by the station, spotless, and the lounge stays open for a long stretch with a wide selection of drinks; both the view from the entrance and from the rooms is spectacular, perhaps because they also host weddings.

I was thrilled with the view from my room, watching the Akashi Kaikyō Bridge change constantly and never getting bored, especially at sunset if you check the timing and watch it from the window with the curtains fully drawn and lights off; the bar offered a great variety of alcohol and even gave me a canelé as a gift. The Wi‑Fi was weak—fine on a phone but unusable on a laptop—and the property shows its age everywhere, needing repairs and a refresh; staff uniforms and guest robes look well‑worn, feeling more cheap than eco‑friendly. The food leans heavily toward sweets, likely to please women, and the lounge felt smaller and cheaper than expected, lacking even basic ham and cheese; it seemed the staff weren’t always on hand, so a mini‑fridge stocked with packaged items might have been more realistic.
