The hotel is very nice, pleasant, clean, with beautiful décor in the rooms! We felt comfortable. The breakfast was very tasty! The staff are skillful and friendly! Very central! :)

“Pub brilliant but who was checking the hotel”

The pub downstairs was fantastic – the staff were efficient and friendly, and the food was first‑class, making the whole pub experience a real highlight. On the flip side, the hotel upstairs left a lot to be desired: no staff on site, a missing chain that prevented us from opening one of the blinds, only one toilet roll supplied, a dusty corridor leading to the rooms, and a carpet that clearly needed vacuuming. For a two‑night stay that cost £260, it was far above the usual rate, but given we were in town to bury my mother, I expected a touch of class.

Booking was a breeze and the location is lovely. The only hiccup was arriving without any milk, so we had to ask before we could use the tea‑making facilities in our room.

“10/10, would stay again if in the area :)”

The vibes were great, the staff were genuinely welcoming and helpful, the room was exactly what we needed, and the breakfast in the morning was fabulous. The only thing we mentioned to each other was that our room felt a bit dark when we were getting ready to go out, but otherwise nothing else.

The location was perfect, the hotel and staff were very good, and everything was just what we needed for a break.
