The place is gorgeous, the cottage’s restaurant a la carte breakfast and dinner were both good. The room was nice, but the mattresses are old and could use an upgrade. We didn’t find any instructions for the TV inputs to play a DVD until we looked under the dresser. The shower only had a rain spout—no handheld. The fridge was too cold and froze our food; we couldn’t locate the temperature control. We discovered the guest laundry service later and wish we’d known about it earlier. The room needs a place to hang wet clothes. Also, parking costs a daily fee. Their activities feel uninspired; maybe add something for kids and something for adults.

Some things were fine, some not.

The location is gorgeous, and our studio’s small kitchen made quick breakfasts and coffee a breeze. The cottage restaurant was awful; my kids barely touched the buffet for dinner, even though they’re teenage athletes who usually eat a lot. The poor quality shocked us. The other restaurants, like the steakhouse, are good, so we ate elsewhere for other meals and would recommend the Rock Golf Course restaurant.
