The staff were incredibly friendly, the breakfast was tasty, the interior looked gorgeous and the room/bed felt very cozy. I’ll definitely book again when I’m back in Marseille.
“Parfait”
The welcome, the décor and the location were all excellent.
“Une pause cocooning.”
The place has a unique, timeless feel. Nothing to complain about.
“A guest house, not a heritage property as its shown”
Best part were the staff. Both Aurelie and Sara were very helpful and hospitable. Breakfast was simple but personalized by Sara which made it enjoyable. Aurelie waited till 10 pm for us to check in and only then left the property. Since the A/C was quite poor in its cooling, she gave us a table fan. 1)The bathroom and WC were very small. The WC was smaller than an airline toilet! I am a big guy and I couldn't fit in at all. 2)No reception. I don't like any property where there is no 24 hour help. What happens if there is a health emergency or anything else? I was then informed this is a French 'guest house' and not a hotel. I didn't realize it when I made the booking. The details were not explicity spelt out. needs to be more graphic in its description. 3)No elevators. We had to haul up some really big bags. 4)No cupboards or storage space for clothes. 5)Cieling fan was ornamental only and non functional. A/C is set to switch off after regular intervals. God knows why when we pay so much for the room. I found it irritating and the room kept warming up. 6)Pictures of the property show it as some kind of old world, elegant place. Its just average. In fact the entrance and stair case walls need maintenance. The paint was peeling off. 7)Location is shown as central, but its not. If you are not near the old port, it's not central to most sights in Marseille
“À deux pas de la gare, chambre propre et très confortable Accueil très chaleureux”
Just a stone’s throw from the station, the room was clean and very comfortable, and the reception was extremely warm.
