The hotel is within walking distance to Gisborne city centre, restaurants, and cafes. Tairawhiti Museum and Botanical Gardens are nearby, with Gisborne Airport a 10-minute drive away, offering on-site parking, work desks, and tea and coffee makers in each room.

Nice motor inn on the river, a large and comfortable room, and close enough to a bar for drinks and meals.

The position is good, but the shower cubicle tiles were covered in mould and could use a cleaning.

The proximity to the city centre and the incredibly kind, welcoming staff were positives, but I disliked that my room shared a balcony with a neighbouring room, that the view was of the parking lot, and that the room itself was unsatisfactory; for over $200 a night I expected more.
