Ski Inn Taphouse Hotel

“What a comfortable room close to the heart of an amazing town.”

The spot was perfect – shops, food, history, deer, and a local event were all nearby, and there was a burger joint right downstairs. I usually want a quiet room, but I knew we’d be above a taproom before booking. The music downstairs was audible for a bit but not too loud, and I actually liked it. The room was super comfy and spotlessly clean. The TV had a great channel lineup, and the shower was amazing! On the downside, a microwave would have been handy; we couldn’t bring leftovers that needed reheating. The coffee maker was a pod machine with only coffee available, so I had to bring my own tea bags but had no way to heat the water. I couldn’t get the coffee maker to work without a pod. We’ll return and this time I’ll bring a travel kettle, and everything will be fine.

The hotel sent me a message on the day of my check‑in asking if I wanted to cancel because we were under a #1 fire notice and the fire could be coming our way, offering me to cancel. I replied that I would cancel the reservation. After canceling, I received another note from Lili (?) telling me I had to cancel. I spent 2–3 hours trying to find a phone number, found a Canadian number, called it but it rang “busy” almost immediately, showing it wasn’t working! I tried calling three times and texted several times, leaving only a message with Lili at the hotel. If there’s no way to cancel a booking, especially when the hotel offers it, why don’t you have a number I can call? I told my credit‑card company not to pay the hotel fee because I didn’t stay in Sisters, but stayed near Sunriver. Please call me if you can…714‑865‑3951. Connie

“Highly recommend, top of our list to stay again.”

Conveniently located, checking in and out was easy. The views from the top deck were incredible. Nice, comfortable, relaxing. Definitely recommend. The restaurant also has fabulous food and service. A lot of shops in town open really early, and with a check‑in time of 3–4 PM, there wasn’t much time to shop downtown.
