It was comfortable, clean, we had freedom to cook breakfast and, in general, it was a pleasant place. It wasn’t cleaned very well, the Wi‑Fi didn’t work all the time while we stayed there, and one morning there was no water.

At first we felt quite welcome, but then problems started. The hostel couldn’t register us, forcing us to look for another place because we wanted to cross the border safely. We were woken up multiple times at 7 am by someone else’s alarms because the building is anything but soundproof. Later in the evening, the owner’s started excessively cleaning the patio at 8:30 pm while all the facilities stayed stinky and dirty and badly equipped without hand soap, toilet paper, or a new trash bag because the other one was overflowing. I had to use the upstairs bathroom because the one on our floor was clogged, and I tripped on the stairs because there was no light. The bed is as hard as a rock! A trash bin in each room and hangers would be nice.

The receptionist accepted the cancellation. There was a water dispenser. The receptionist was disrespectful about the booking, tried to charge more, and I decided to cancel on the spot.

I had a great stay: the rooms were clean, there’s a nice kitchen and bathroom, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the location is quite good, it’s in a quiet part of town and a nice walk to the tourist areas, and the rooms have nice big cupboards. I don’t like it when hostels have single beds instead of bunk beds, because bunk beds with curtains offer more privacy, but I knew this when I booked it.

I didn’t like many things: the owner asks for more than what’s listed on Booking, the cleaning is not done in the bathroom or the toilets, which are very dirty.
