The hotel has many advantages – it’s in a great spot, especially for those planning mountain trips. It’s literally a 2‑minute walk from the train station. The property is large but well maintained. The staff are friendly, smiling, and helpful, although I don’t understand why there’s only one person at the reception (the manager should be more inventive and support the front desk because the work there can be tough and demanding). The SPA area is nice – warm jacuzzi, saunas, calm and without crowds. You can add a dinner‑lunch combo at a decent price. The room is large, spacious, with a balcony. The hotel is getting older and you can see it in the details and décor. A few things (like the floor) would need replacement or repair. There were no vegetarian options at dinner‑lunch (I understand there were vegetables or fish, but those aren’t really vegetarian, and the selection was still limited). The price was high; I understand the competition and high season, but I still think it was too steep.
Great food, kind staff, I appreciate the coffee machine and the fridge. The sofa set up for sleeping was dangerous for a child – there were sharp metal parts exposed in several places.
We met every expectation: a huge, spacious, spotless room; food was delicious and varied; staff always smiled; location was superb, just a few minutes’ walk to Csorba Lake and several hiking trails. We’ll definitely come back!
