The staff were incredibly friendly, the facilities were great, and the pub served a complimentary breakfast and dinner. Nothing else to add.

“Very disappointing and definitely not worth the cost.”

The location was good, and everyone on the staff was very pleasant. The room was tiny, with no space for my suitcase, yet it was billed as a superior. The floor slanted so much I felt I could roll out of bed. The TV was malfunctioning, and the blinds required a hard pull that I didn’t want to force; I had to ask a staff member for help. One wall had unfinished patchwork that hadn’t even been painted. There was no continental breakfast, no fruit, and the only toast offered was spread with a thin layer of butter.

The place is well located, but a smoky odor lingered, the sprung mattress was uncomfortable and squeaked, and there was noise from the courtyard seating area outside the bedroom window.

“Great place to stay, good location.”

The hosts were great, the breakfast excellent—my husband swore the poached eggs were superb. Deddington is a charming town and the spot is convenient for most destinations, especially if you’re after the Clarkson experience or want an easy train to Oxford. The Inn’s traditional feel was exactly what we wanted. Wi‑Fi worked, the shower pressure was good, and the mattress was comfy. We skipped dinner there because it didn’t fit our plans, though the menu looked good. The TV in the room was a decent size, but we couldn’t watch it because no channels were available, which was frustrating.
