The spot is super close to the tourist areas, easy transport access, and very convenient.

The check‑in was so smooth, and they let us drop off our bags before the official time. The Annex we stayed in felt nice and private, and we couldn’t hear any noise even though there are a lot of bars on the street; the area is a great spot to relax and have a nice dinner after a day in Washington DC. It was also handy to have a hair dryer and iron. The only downside was that there wasn’t a wardrobe, so I had to leave my clothes in our luggage bags.

The place is in a great spot with many restaurants nearby and a yoga studio; it’s a 40‑minute walk to GeorgeTown and a 15‑minute Uber ride to the AirSpace Museum. On the housekeeping side, a note suggested tipping the cleaning crew in cash or Venmo for a clean room upon arrival, but Venmo isn’t usually available to Europeans and I paid over $500 for three nights, so I expected basic housekeeping to be included rather than paid upfront. No one came to remove trash during my three‑night stay, and I wasn’t told I had to dispose of it myself or where to do that, perhaps because I didn’t tip for a clean room, which is the baseline for me when paying that amount. The feedback link sent by email didn’t work; when I told the hotel, the reply felt dismissive and made me think they weren’t really interested in hearing feedback. The room stayed quite cold at night even after setting the thermostat to 80°F, and every early morning I could hear what sounded like mice running in the ceiling or the floor above.
