The Planta Boutique Resort, Canggu, boasts stunning rice field views and features a large swimming pool surrounded by a lush tropical garden. Rooms have flat-screen TVs, iPod docking stations, and private bathrooms with bath robes, slippers, and free toiletries. Free WiFi and bike use are available. The resort is close to Batu Bolong Beach, Echo Beach, and Bali Denpasar International Airport.

We usually pick boutique spots for their personal touch, and Planta delivered on that front. The staff were ready to swap rooms for us and we spent five days with views of rice paddies, breakfast in bed, and a lovely bath. Everything from mini‑marts to cafés and a pharmacy was just a 2‑5 minute walk away, and the team was always friendly and helpful. The building shows some wear, but the design remains thoughtful and elegant. Mosquitoes were a nuisance, but manageable.

The place sits just off central Canggu, a jungle oasis away from the traffic. Our room, MAGA, was delightful and right by the pool. Harry, who welcomed us at check‑in and chatted with us every day, was a real asset to Planta – exceptional service. The only drawback was the construction next door, which muffled the morning wildlife as we woke; something beyond their control.

Lovely and quiet. The location is great, and you can walk to restaurants or grab an inexpensive Gojek ride. It’s an oasis tucked behind a lively area. The facilities are peaceful, and the staff were fabulous.
