The old house was interesting and well kept, and we were greeted warmly at the property. As city residents we worried that the house wasn’t locked at night and we weren’t sure if other people were staying there. An SMS sent to the owner was only answered later that evening, after we had fallen asleep. There were too many blankets on the bed—probably because of the extremely cold weather the week before. I hadn’t realized there was only a bath and no shower (probably my mistake). The lack of delivery for take‑away meals was unexpected, and getting to the parking from the house was very inconvenient for an older couple.
