The property and staff were both five stars; the staff were helpful, parking was free, and the fact that pets were allowed even during breakfast was a huge plus that outweighed minor flaws. The room felt modern, and the location was fairly close to Ljubljana. The only downside was the breakfast: only two options, though tasty, and the sports centre meant the windows faced the courts and restaurant; the nightlife was a bit noisy, and the nearby church bells woke me up in the morning 😁

The hotel sits inside a sports complex and has a wellness area (we didn’t try it). Our room had a window, but I think the interior rooms don’t have one.

“Unhappy with a windowless room”

The breakfast was great and the restaurant staff were very nice, friendly and accommodating, which I really appreciated. The biggest disappointment was discovering that the room had no proper window—only a roof/skylight window. This was not disclosed in the room description when booking, and the room felt very enclosed and claustrophobic. Had I known this in advance, I would never have booked it. On top of that, the hotel is directly under a flight path for nearby Ljubljana Airport, so the noise from planes can be very disturbing, especially if you open the skylight for some fresh air. There was also no fridge and no kettle for making hot water, which I would expect at this price. Overall, I did not feel the room offered good value for money, and I felt misled by the description.
