Pros: Breakfast was good. Staff mood varied; most were fine except one guy. The room was clean. Cons: One front‑office staff member didn’t speak properly to customers and offered no support. We arrived around 6 AM, knowing early check‑in wasn’t possible, and needed to leave for a Halong Bay cruise booked through the same hotel. We asked the previous day to store our luggage and use a bathroom to freshen up. While a room wasn’t available, the provided bathroom wasn’t suitable for changing clothes, especially for kids and women. We expected at least a proper restroom or changing space for basic freshening up before continuing our trip.

The location is great, but the breakfast was just average.

The hotel’s location was fantastic – we walked 80 % of our errands and it was awesome. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was nice. Unfortunately, we were upgraded and didn’t see it as a gift given the room we received… it was poorly positioned in the hotel, with no way to ventilate the room because the windows faced the hotel corridor. Worse, those windows either had a white blind or a light‑blocking curtain, so the corridor light stayed on 24 h a day, even at night. It was impossible to be in the dark in the room, so we had to use our towel to block the light. Then, the walls and the door were just decorative because there was no sound insulation; we were on the 6th floor and could hear the kitchen on the 1st floor! Despite the many “be quiet” signs, the hotel staff acted like they were the only people in the world. If you expect to sleep after 7 a.m. to recover from a possible jet lag, look elsewhere. Finally, we asked on the mornings of days 1 and 2 to wash our clothes because there was a laundry service, and we were told “yes, we’ll do it,” only to learn the day before our departure that if you don’t bring your laundry down yourself, it won’t be washed! Why not, but they should have warned us instead of saying “yes, we’ll do it.”

It was the first hotel after we landed. They picked us up from the airport. The staff were very helpful and polite. Breakfast was buffet style and by card. The lake was a five‑minute walk. They helped arrange transport to the next hotel in Trang An. I recommend this hotel.
