“Punaises de lit vous accompagne et L’offre vendu est un gîte, or, c’est une chambre meublée.”
Bedbugs. In short, bedbugs keep you company; it is a complete scam and a total disaster. The property is advertised as a cottage, but it is just a furnished room. There is absolutely no peace and quiet: non‑stop 24/7 noise from the pool pump, wood sawing, neighbors snoring at night, and another neighbor walking around naked in the house. There is zero privacy because the owner thinks they have the right to walk into the house at any moment without the guests' permission. It is completely unsuitable for elderly or disabled people, there is no access ramp to the house, and to make matters worse, the bedrooms are upstairs while the toilet and shower are on the ground floor. A washing machine is shown in the photos as a selling point, but it is out of order. The house is dirty and poorly maintained, and the pool is filthy and full of insects. To top it off, the definition of a cottage is “complete independence of the rented accommodation,” and it is definitely not “a furnished room in a house.”
The kitchen and living room were pleasantly spacious, but the toilet and bathroom are downstairs and shared, making late‑night trips a bit inconvenient.
The place was wonderfully quiet. It’s a separate house shared with others, which explains the price. Everything was spotless, and the bike is nicely stored in the shed behind.
“Lieu de repos”
The calm and the price were great, but the rooms weren’t ventilated when we arrived, so we all sneezed so hard for a few minutes.
The house was very comfortable.
