“Great location”
Great location. The floors are too noisy; if someone is in the room above you, you can hear them, and if someone is below, they can hear you.

The spot is great—just a solid location.

The place is still convenient, but this time the room sat on the ground floor and had pedestrian ramps around every window, so privacy was basically non‑existent. Even though blinds were there, they were hard to close and didn’t help much.

The property feels very peaceful, with plenty of outdoor seating, cozy nooks, and a welcoming lobby that even has a nice library to read in. The only downside is that when you open the curtains to let the sun in, you can’t escape the view of passing cars and pedestrians—still, overall it’s a very cozy and relaxing spot.

The room itself was beautiful and well appointed, but the listing advertised a suite for almost $400 and I ended up with a standard hotel room and bath. I arrived at 6:30 p.m. to find the lobby door locked with an envelope bearing my name taped to the glass, containing instructions about my room, the “free” breakfast time, and the keys. No staff were present. The next morning, heading to another town for family, I tried to grab a take‑away breakfast in the dining area, only to be told it was strictly sit‑down and no take‑away. A single staff member was busy filling juices and putting out menus. I loaded my stuff into my car, returned to hand over the keys, but there was still no one around. Guests were seated in the dining area, no one was being served, and no staff were present. I left my keys on the little entry desk beside another set. The worst customer service I’ve ever encountered. If you’re going to present yourself as a high‑end lodge and charge $400 a night, at least staff enough to serve guests. I won’t return.
