“Goed hotel maar Jersey viel wel wat tegen”
The breakfast buffet was fairly extensive but dull and not luxurious; every day it was the same. Most guests opt for the Full English (which I find disgusting) and that was available in abundance. The room was good, with a shower/bath. On our room #57 there was often a ticking sound, even at night, which was irritating for a light sleeper like me, but when checking out the parking fee was waived as compensation (nice!). The '1840' restaurant was excellent; the staff were friendly. The housekeeping staff often hadn't finished the room by the second half of the afternoon, so when we returned to read or nap (70+ years old) it was still dirty. The hotel was very isolated in terms of walking distance (we have mobility restrictions), so we had to drive everywhere, but parking in St. Helier is limited and requires an app.
