The hotel sits right next to Kaohsiung Main Station, with great local restaurants around and stunning views of the city skyline and the station itself. The rooms are spacious and well‑designed, some even two stories high, and they come with high‑end Japanese electronic toilets. The breakfast buffet was just average. The bathroom had mold on the caulking, a poorly shaped tub that made showering awkward, and a loose shower head that kept twisting and falling. Even with a “Do Not Disturb” sign up, staff still entered my room to clean, which was a serious privacy breach. Wi‑Fi was unreliable, dropping every 2 to 10 minutes and forcing me to log in again each time I stepped away. The staff felt unfriendly and didn’t make me feel welcomed.
