Everything was great—location, room, quietness, and especially the food felt like home, with a very caring family who were attentive all the time. Thank you for your kindness; highly recommend 100/100 and I’ll repeat this without hesitation.

Our stay at Evergreen Cottage was nothing short of amazing; the owner and his family were friendly and attentive, the space was clean, and even the steps didn’t bother us, making it a truly pleasant visit. Highly recommend staying in a quieter part of Ella!

The family was lovely and the accommodation is one of the most beautiful ones we’ve had in Sri Lanka. Service was perfect with a great breakfast and a superb location. Everything was super.

The room was very clean and comfortable, with fresh white linen and large beds suitable for a family of four with teenage boys; the new bathroom had hot water. The veranda up in the trees was beautiful and relaxing. Lanka and his family were amazing hosts, offering tea and snacks on arrival and even on the morning we left at 3:30 am for Yala. We told Lanka not to get up, but he was setting up on the veranda when we woke. Absolutely above and beyond. Breakfast was also delicious and plentiful. The only downside was a bit of a walk uphill into town, but a tuk‑tuk is easy to get and Lanka can arrange one for you; it’s better than staying in the busy town.
