“Echtes B&B in Pariser Dachwohnung, sogar mit Kühlung durch Klimaanlage”
The host was lovely, thank you! The apartment on the top floor is a pleasant size and feels like a B&B with Parisian flair. It sits in a quiet residential area where tourists hardly notice it. In the summer heat it was great to have an air conditioner and electric blinds. A small kitchenette lets you heat a little thing if needed. The breakfast at the hosts’ table in their charmingly furnished flat was excellent, varied, and especially enjoyable with good conversation. The only downside was the narrow spiral staircase from the hosts’ apartment to the top-floor unit, which can be tough for people with limited mobility.

Typical and very tasty French breakfast of course! Very nicely presented by Odile and Rémy, who are a very friendly, interesting, and well‑travelled couple. Lots of travel tales to swap – and a large collection of fascinating artefacts of all descriptions; seashells and fossils, delightful models of Tin‑Tin characters, many different designs of globes of the Earth, etc., etc. We were fortunate in that Odile's English is very good, so our basic French was occasionally used, but not taxed at all! Rémy's English was less practised – but his German is good! Our “room” was in fact effectively a small flat. Bedroom, bathroom, separate toilet, and a large living area with a small hob, microwave, sink and fridge. Right on the top floor (number 6! there is a tiny lift if you can't cope with the stairs!) of a classical Haussmann building from around 1895; including a view of the Eiffel Tower from the French balcony. Air con as well, if it gets too hot. Odile and Rémy live on the floor below – which is where they served us our breakfast. Located in the 16th Arrondissement, just a few minutes' walk from the Metro; therefore a 20‑minute trip into the heart of the city. A great spot! Several good restaurants within a five minute walk. In fact the Bistrot 31 is literally just across the road; and their food was good enough to tempt us back several times! Overall a great choice of accommodation for us. Couldn't have made a better one! Thank you Odile and Rémy. We had a great time in your home and in your company, and learnt a great deal :-)
Guesthouse in Paris. A true Parisian dream – loft apartments with magnificent French chic and views, even the Eiffel Tower is visible, everything you need within walking distance, but most importantly the hosts Remi and Odile. The breakfasts that Odile serves in the mornings are simply works of art, and the kindness and sincerity with which she does it is enchanting. I really want to return to this place and to these people.
We stayed at MaisondesChaumes-Paris for our honeymoon and were absolutely delighted with everything. From arrival onward, everything was perfect. The apartment itself is spacious, stylish, and very comfortable, with a private bathroom and a view of the Eiffel Tower (though partially blocked by scaffolding from a nearby renovation). The location in the safe and beautiful 16th arrondissement is excellent – close to the metro, bus stops, and charming streets, exactly as other guests describe. Cleanliness and amenities also deserve the highest praise. The hosts – Odile and Rémy – are incredibly warm, welcoming people who create an atmosphere that even the finest 5‑star hotel cannot guarantee. A special mention must go to the fantastic breakfasts. Every morning the table was beautifully arranged with a different decoration, showing remarkable attention to detail, and the food was always delicious. We gladly give a well‑deserved 10/10 in every category. We loved our stay so much that we cannot imagine visiting Paris again without staying here. Odile and Rémy, thank you for making our honeymoon truly unforgettable!

Dear Odile, dear Rémy, we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you again for waiting for us deep into the night (due to a major train delay). That was truly wonderful and not at all expected. The accommodation is beautiful and lovingly furnished, very clean and well equipped (even with air conditioning!). Nothing was missing. Thank you also for the great breakfast, the Paris tips, and the pleasant conversations. We will definitely come back! Warm regards!
