The staff were wonderful. At the desk there were print‑outs with hiking suggestions, including miles and difficulty levels. A campfire at night and free smore packs were available, and there were free saunas too. Across the street is a resort with a restaurant; the food is pricey but very good.

The staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly. The hotel was spotless inside and out. I’ll definitely book again. I didn’t find anything I didn’t like; it was a fantastic experience.

Beautiful location. Close to the Lutsen race which is why we were there. Wish we had time to try out the sauna village. Room was spotless. Staff was very nice. Popcorn, snores and pantry items were thoughtful. Lots of nice touches. AC was a little loud. Mattress was a little firm for my taste. Coat was high. I’ve stayed in many rooms that were just as nice for 1/3 the price

I found the place super clean and cozy, not feeling cheap at all, and the full range of amenities gave it a real vacation vibe; the staff were friendly and very helpful.

The hotel sits in the Lutsen Mountains, close to Lake Superior and plenty of hiking and biking trails, and the new sauna village was a pleasant surprise; Denton, the spa attendant, was kind and helpful, and the lobby offers an outdoor fire pit, picnic area, hammocks, and free coffee, tea, popcorn, and s’mores kits. However, my room had a strong air‑freshener smell when I checked in, which I couldn’t locate but could vent out by opening the window after a few hours; the walls are thin, so you can hear neighbors easily—ear plugs are recommended if you’re sensitive.
