Almost 10. Looks special and royal. Super location. Friendly staff. Price quite ok compared with the quality and service. For our room, Have to climb out of balcony as there is no door, funny. Not possible to connect with internet

I was disappointed with the room, which felt far below a four‑star standard for the price I paid. The staff were friendly, but the common areas were cluttered from the second stair landing, with a broken, dirty chair and a portable air‑con that looked like it belonged in a storage room. In the room, spider webs draped the windows, there was grime on both sides of the nightstands, hair and pet fur littered the floor, the double bed had a hole, the drawer knob was still in my hand, the curtains and furnishings were subpar, and the room was intensely cold. Only one key was provided for three people, and it worked for both the stairwell door and the exit door, forcing anyone leaving to wake the others to re‑enter or leave them locked inside. I had paid for three people, yet the room was set up for only two, missing a bed for my daughter. To fix this, we had to leave the key and return before 22:00, when the venue closed, to avoid being locked out, which ruined our plans. Nobody cleaned during our stay; we were only asked if everything was fine.

The view from the room and outside in Cesky Krumlov is very beautiful and romantic; the castle ranks second only to Prague, and the baroque theatre and opera we saw were fantastic. The only downside was that the room lacked a safe.

The location was great, close to everything. Our balcony room gave a breathtaking view of the castle, and it was amusing that you have to climb out the window to reach it, but that was worth it.

The room felt very authentic; although the building was old, it was clean and renovated, and the bathroom was also spotless. In the morning, a smell of fried onions in the room was annoying, probably coming from the restaurant downstairs.
