Located on the picturesque shore of Tei Lake, the 4-star Caro Hotel boasts German-style architecture and comfortable, spacious rooms with work desks, cable TV, and hairdryers in private bathrooms. The hotel features an ice rink, hammocks, picnic baskets, and binoculars for birdwatching. The restaurant serves traditional Romanian and international cuisine, while the lobby bar and "1000 de chipuri" wine bar offer a range of drinks and wine.

The staff was very friendly, our room was very quiet, and the breakfast was delicious.

We care about the first impression, the one you get when you enter the place. At Caro we felt a pleasant scent in the reception/lobby/ground floor area. The room was small but pretty for a city break. At check‑out, the receptionist answered a phone call for another guest during our conversation.

Location and surroundings were good, and the gym and spa were usable. The drapes are too thin, so you’re woken by early light; there are only two restaurants with a limited menu, and they call the standard room “economy,” trying to make you feel bad and push an upgrade. The AC stays stuck on 23 and can’t be operated.

Excellent breakfast, nice architecture and courtyard. The rooms, at least mine, were old‑fashioned and shabby, as if they hadn’t been updated in 20 years. Parking was an extra fee that wasn’t mentioned on Booking. The worst part was that I called them before booking to ask about a bulk price for 3 rooms over 3 nights; they told me to email and said I’d get an offer by the next day. A month later I still haven’t heard back.
