“条件付きだが値段以上に満足できるホテル”
The room featured a roughly 100‑inch TV, plenty of space, two types of pillows (a memory‑foam one that’s a bit firm and thick) and a spring that felt just right, plus mineral water and a large, clean bathroom with plenty of hot water. I appreciated the chair and table, which let me enjoy the big screen while eating bread I’d bought. The air‑conditioner was controlled from the lower part of the TV remote. For a chain hotel, the quality was high while the price stayed low, though check‑in was only between 20:00 and 22:00; after that you had to use the self‑service kiosk (the machine can handle Japanese but sometimes fails to read passports automatically, and you need some Korean language skill to communicate, though you might get lucky and find someone who speaks Japanese). You have to consider a few conditions, but I liked it enough to stay at another property of the same brand the next day and would choose the brand again on future trips. The downsides were a hole in the sheets, a frayed towel, and the cheap feel of the hotel’s location – the building is a former motel and the surrounding area has older chain properties and some rundown structures, which makes the neighbourhood feel a bit dim and less secure. Once inside the hotel it’s comfortable, but during darker hours you’d be better off taking a taxi or doing your shopping before entering. It’s more suited to seasoned travelers, and if you move around by KAKAO bike or car there’s no problem.
