“Great african experience”
Staying with the family was a great experience; the people were very friendly. The rooms are very basic but clean and have mosquito nets, no taps (but that’s being worked on), and water is supplied from a central water point. Local meals are well prepared, and cold drinks are available. The surroundings are beautiful (waterfall, cliffs, etc.), ideal for walking and bird watching. Communication with the host was very good; our guide waited for us down in the village of Dindefelo, and there is secure parking for the car in the nearby camp. The guide was very helpful and carried my backpack on the way up. We arrived at lunchtime, the hottest part of the day, and the climb up 300 m of rocks was exhausting.
