“Lovely traditional stay”

This place is exceptional, unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. Several restored traditional old houses, warehouses, and artisan row houses have been carefully renovated. The beautiful Garyu Sanso is just up the road and there’s a lovely shrine behind the club lounge garden. Nipponia deserves credit for its role in rejuvenating the old town. On our second night a rowdy group of western tourists were in the club lounge garden, but they left for dinner early and didn’t bother us again.

“Experiencia increible”

Marvelous restored houses with exquisite taste. Dinner and breakfast are memorable. The staff are fantastic and attentive, especially Kyoshi, who was very kind. The only downside is the activities. In my opinion, they don’t provide good information; they direct you to a website and then the spots sell out immediately. That shouldn’t happen at a hotel of this caliber.

“A perfect hotel scattered amongst the historic city of Ozu.”

A truly great hotel. The rooms are spread across a series of traditional houses in Ozu, each unique and exceptionally comfortable. Our triple room was basically a small house with a beautiful courtyard. The bath was a large wooden tub or a modern bathroom. The beds were extremely comfortable in two huge rooms. One of the highlights was the staff’s friendliness, who were incredibly helpful. Breakfast was in a separate house surrounded by a garden. We also had access to a lounge with extensive included drinks. There’s plenty to do in Ozu, so consider staying two nights— we only stayed one and wished we could stay longer. Nothing was wrong; it was perfect.

It’s a hidden gem for adults, stylish and very good; I’d like to stay again. The front desk is confusing; it doesn’t show up on my GPS, so please clearly indicate a safe parking spot. Put staff in the lounge. When the machine ran out of water it was a problem; I don’t drink alcohol, so I would have liked u‑ron tea or regular tea. Older guests were sad because they didn’t know how to make iced coffee.

“ほぼ満足”

The courtyard lets you relax freely, and all the tourist spots are neatly clustered nearby. The bathroom is on the first floor, so having to descend the stairs in the middle of the night made me uneasy; a small mirror for makeup on the second floor would have been handy too.
