The service was friendly and helpful, the housekeeping was spotless, and from the room you could see Hongya Cave without having to push through crowds, letting you relax on the sofa and enjoy the scenery.

This place has a killer bar with an amazing view of the Chongqing skyline - it's a great spot to watch the lights and enjoy a cocktail. The bartender knows their stuff and can whip up anything you ask for. The room was pretty cool too, with automated controls that were easy to use. The whole place feels high-end and modern, with great attention to detail. The staff were super friendly and even texted us about a book we left behind.

The view from the room was amazing, and having a swimming pool in the room was a great perk. However, that's where the positives ended. The room was supposed to be non-smoking, but it reeked of cigarette smoke, and the housekeeping staff's solution was to spray some air freshener, which didn't cut it. The pool area was a letdown too - no separate towels or mats provided, and we were told to use the bathroom towels, which seemed unhygienic.
