The hotel sits on a side street with enough parking and is right next to bike and walking paths, which made it a good fit for our two‑night stay. However, it seems the property was handed over to a new management team on short notice, so everything felt a bit disordered. The breakfast was pricey for what was offered, and the extra Asian option could have been omitted; that should be clarified better.

The European breakfast was acceptable. The hotel’s location in the winding streets of Alf was fine, but we only found the on‑site parking on the second try. The website is out of date. Upon arrival we noticed a change of ownership that supposedly happened in March of that year. The manager is an Asian woman who speaks neither German nor English; only one Asian staff member speaks both languages. The Asian chef and the Asian housekeepers don’t speak English or German. Only at breakfast are there occasionally German‑speaking staff for a few hours. Orders for drinks and/or dinner take an hour to be processed after repeated requests, and we’re constantly delayed. The current website says nothing about the fact that only Asian food is offered. It also mentions that, besides the European breakfast, a warm Asian breakfast is available, but no guests used it during our stay. The website claims the hotel has a 1970s charm, which didn’t bother us at first. The tiny room was dirty, the beds were poorly made, the curtains were soiled, and the blackout blinds were partially torn from the tracks. A small wardrobe held a fan; we couldn’t fit our clothes there, so we kept them in our suitcases. The mini‑bathroom (1.50 m × 150 m) is a nightmare – even for me, barely 1.60 m tall and 50 kg. We talked to other guests who also fell for the outdated website. The former good reviews on the site are from before the ownership change. We feel deceived. The hotel does not match a 3‑star rating at all; we can only give it 1 star.

The location is quiet and pleasant, and the staff were extremely friendly throughout our visit. The outdoor area, complete with a terrace and garden, invites you to relax. Everything else was great.

Breakfast was solid, and the staff were very courteous and helpful. Our room, located in the “Nebenhaus,” was very small, the bathroom tiny, the beds too narrow for a normal size, and the mattresses were noticeably saggy.
