Free breakfast between 8 and 9. Friendly reception with useful tips about the area. The bed is hard, just like almost everywhere in Madeira (our experience).

The staff were very friendly and smiling, and the location was great with a top terrace; the price was good. However, the room was poorly soundproofed and damp, the heating didn't work, and the pillow was tiny.

Breakfast simple but good. Good location. Unfortunately there was mold in our room. We told the staff who quickly put us in another room and told us they would remove it and we could go back to the original room. There seemed to be some miscommunication between the staff so we had to argue to get back to our former, bigger and now a bit less moldy room
