We found the room roomy and the private bathroom a real convenience, especially with the bucket and drying rack that made laundry a breeze. The shared kitchen, separate from the rooms, was handy for cooking or drinks, and the outdoor tables and chairs offered a pleasant spot to relax together. The windows gave us a reassuring sense of security—most couldn’t open, and the one that could only opened a few centimetres due to a safety lock. Breakfast cost 125 DKK per person and could be booked only for the days you wanted, which was very convenient. The place worked well as a base for a day of sightseeing, so we mainly used it for sleeping, resting, and evening chats. Public transport was excellent; the train station sat right across from the accommodation, making it a breeze to use the Copenhagen Card – Discover for up to 5 days, covering all public transport and over 80 attractions. The beds could have been a touch more comfortable, and the pillows were thin; a few extra pillows would help. A hairdryer would also be useful. Occasionally there was a faint damp smell and an unpleasant odor from the bathroom, though airing the room helped. We didn’t receive the key‑box code beforehand, but a quick call got us the code immediately. Bed linen is an extra 80 DKK per person/set, as noted, so watch that when booking. The room door locks automatically when closed and only opens with the key card—don’t leave both cards inside. We had two separate beds and a bunk; the metal bar above the lower bunk sits close to the head, so be careful when sitting up or getting out, as it’s easy to hit your head. Covering the bar with rubber, foam, or another soft material would reduce injury risk.
