The Hotel Plaza, Salerno, is centrally located opposite the railway station and near the bus terminal and seafront promenade. The hotel offers daily buffet breakfast, free WiFi, satellite TV, and air-conditioned rooms. Its prime location allows easy access to ferries to Sardinia and Sicily, and trains and buses to Naples and the Amalfi Coast.

The property sits close to everything, the staff are fabulous, you can walk down the street to the ferry or just step outside for great restaurants. Our favorite was Binario Due, right around the block; Mario, the owner, was extremely gracious, and his wife, the chef, runs the place. The hotel also offered a great breakfast.

Excellent breakfast with local products, well‑situated in front of the station and not far from the quay, very attentive staff. Cleaning was a bit slow, especially the carpets on the floors.
