The staff at Sweet Water Resort were by far the best part of our stay: extremely friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful—thank you for making an effort to keep us comfortable. The coffee was excellent, and they even brought water to our room without us asking. The highlight of this resort was the warm, service‑oriented staff. The resort has great potential and a remarkably friendly team.
When we arrived, we were told we had booked “only a very small room,” which was incorrect; the booking platform listed a Deluxe double room of 63 m². We were offered an “upgrade,” supposedly finished in two hours, but the room turned out to be no larger than 25 m² with a tiny bathroom of about 5–6 m²—far from the advertised 63 m². At arrival, the room was visibly dirty with construction dust, the bathroom was unclean with cloudy water and a filthy toilet, and the water supply didn’t work until about an hour later. On the second night, we faced an ant infestation—thousands of ants in the room—and a large spider on the wall. The beds were unusable: the mattresses were made of very soft, airy foam that offered no support, essentially lying directly on the floor. They sat on just two steel rails and a thin plywood sheet, which would not hold my weight. I ended up sleeping on the floor, which was no better. The pool was usable but the water was murky; I still swam but didn’t feel very comfortable. A restful stay was severely compromised. Clean rooms and transparent handling of bookings and room sizes are urgently needed.
