“Cold stay”
The spot was convenient and the breakfast was listed as an extra, which matters for business trips because you can actually get a hot meal. When my coworkers got there, we discovered the manor wasn’t heated at all. The owners called after 8 PM and asked us to cancel, and in that rural area there was no other place to book. We negotiated putting industrial heaters in the room, but they barely warmed it. The whole night was spent in a cold room – it was November, so the temperature inside matched the outside – and the shower was unusable because it was too chilly. The price was 126 EUR per night, not including breakfast, which didn’t reflect the lack of comfort. A decent place would have apologized and offered some compensation. If you’re thinking about staying here in winter, skip it or you’ll end up like us. We didn’t contact support immediately because it was late, there were no other hotels within 50 km, and we could only access the booking account from the office PC.
