We got exactly what we needed, though the food at Six Bells left something to be desired.

Breakfast was a simple self‑service spread that did the job, and the hotel sits in a tiny village right next to a cracking traditional village pub.

The old building gives it a charming feel, but the modern conveniences are solid; the 6 Bells pub nearby serves tasty food, and the hosts stay in the adjacent building; the self‑service breakfast is clever. The acoustics are a bit off, the old house creaks on the floor and stairs, which adds to the charm since we were alone.

The owner welcomed us with great friendliness, I spent a wonderful night here before my flight, the food at the pub next door was also very good, a lovely small breakfast buffet, and I’d gladly return.

The property has lovely character, is comfortable and clean, and everything was good 👍.
