“Good overall with obliging staff”
The place sits in a great spot, and that’s all I can say.

The room was very clean, with spotless bedding and towels, and the location was great; the staff were informative and helpful, nightly entertainment was provided, and breakfast was of a very high standard, giving us three very peaceful nights of sleep. However, we couldn't keep the bedroom window open because it was a sash window that kept closing, the shower was an over‑the‑bath unit attached to the bath taps and was hard to regulate to a safe temperature, and we couldn't run a bath because we couldn't operate the diverter lever to allow water to flow from the taps.

The hotel is right on the "Strand" (stones) and in the center; restaurants and shops are easily reachable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, it wasn't very clean and the furnishings were old.

The location is good and the staff were very helpful, but the floor boards are creeping and new carpets are needed.

The location was fine, but I found bed bugs in our room, which is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the hotel's cleanliness, hygiene and safety standards. Despite lodging a complaint with the management company, they refused to acknowledge the presence of bedbugs, so future guests should be warned. On top of that, the walls are so thin that you can hear everything happening in neighboring rooms, making it impossible to sleep because of the constantly creaking hallway floors and slamming doors.
