The room was spotless, the shower was nice, and the space was large and quiet. The location was great. Unfortunately, the pool water was green, so I didn’t go in.

The room was spotless, the shower was nice, and the space was large and quiet. The location was great. Unfortunately, the pool water was green, so I didn’t go in.

MVT Hotel is part of ISKCON, which mattered to me as a solo female traveler in Rishikesh; following a sattvic diet was easy because the restaurant excludes animal products, avoids cross‑contamination, and omits onion and garlic. The only area that needs attention is the pool; in the 30 + degree heat it was nice to sit by it, but I didn’t swim.

The location was excellent, and we had a beautiful view from our window. We could swim and even book a yoga class. The staff were very friendly and kind. The only downside was that the towel was dirty and had stains.

The room was beautiful and the view was great. The shower was excellent and the bathroom was very clean. In the hallway, there were dirty cups outside our neighbour’s room that stayed there the whole time we were there, but otherwise it was fine. The garden area was beautiful. The pool was unusable, too dirty, and the hedges were overgrown. It was so hot when we arrived that we couldn’t stand on the tiles without burning our feet! 🔥

The spiritual ambience and the extremely courteous conduct of all staff were outstanding. It was truly par excellence.
