Cozy, bright apartment on the roof (1st floor). Great bed, very comfortable, and a nice new bathroom with a window and a large shower. Rooftop terrace with seating. Excellent breakfast that you can order ahead. Plenty of parking across the street, though you need a parking ticket if necessary. The hosts are very friendly! Everything is within walking distance, including the Zuiderzee Museum, where you can spend hours (there’s an open-air and a house museum). Nice little shops in town.

“Tot een volgende keer!”

I stayed close to the historic Librije and the city center, and the breakfast was very good and everything was tidy. The host family’s involvement was wonderful and they were very helpful. The church bell that rings every half hour, even at night, is a bit of an adjustment for a light sleeper… but most guests probably won’t find it disruptive and will just sleep through it. :-)

The guest room under the roof with its own roof terrace was lovingly furnished. Breakfast was prepared to my request and delivered right outside the door. The reception was very friendly and chatting was easy. The location is superb, with short walks to the harbor or the city center. Absolutely recommended for a holiday by the IJsselmeer.

The location is very nice, right in the middle of town yet surprisingly quiet. The little roof garden was especially pleasant; you sit surrounded by roof and gable clutter, listening to the tower clock bells and admiring the old trees.
