“Muy bien ubicado.”
The location is excellent, close to beautiful streets, the Sytagma square and the metro station. The rooms are narrow, and so is the bathroom.

The Central Hotel in Athens' picturesque Plaka area is 200 metres from Syntagma Square, offering a rooftop terrace with Acropolis views and free Wi-Fi at the lobby. Air-conditioned rooms feature a safe, bathroom with hairdryer, and some offer Acropolis views. The hotel provides room service, daily buffet breakfast with fresh juices and local delicacies, and a rooftop bar with city views.

Excellent location, friendly people, very good breakfast and a nice rooftop restaurant/bar. The rooms were tiny, with no space to open suitcases. The bathroom was also very small.

The hotel’s location is excellent and offers good value for Athens. The rooftop views of the Acropolis from the cocktail bar are great, and breakfast was good. The mattress was a bit hard, and the noise from the cocktail bar/restaurant directly above us was disruptive, with seats being dragged across the floor. It stopped once the bar closed, but it was far from ideal when you know you have an early start the next morning. This was probably just an issue for our particular room (601) and those nearby.

I was thrilled to find a bathtub, which was a big deal for a Japanese guest; the room was spacious, the staff were friendly, and the location was unbeatable—everything was within walking distance, even the bus stop to the airport, so I had no trouble getting around. The Wi‑Fi was fast and I had no complaints at all.

The hotel’s proximity to the city center and its rooftop bar with a view of the Acropolis were highlights; when we headed to the roof terrace for a drink, most tables were already taken, so booking a spot in advance is wise if you want to enjoy drinks or dinner there. The breakfast offered a wide variety, and check‑in was efficient. They arranged an airport transfer for a fixed €50. The elevator was frustratingly slow and unreliable—doors kept reopening even when no one pressed the button—so we climbed six flights of stairs to reach the roof terrace. The room was overly bright, with light leaking from the air‑conditioning control panel and the smoke alarm. Despite these issues, I would stay here again.
