Talking to a miner, fisherman and wharfie made me think of my working‑class roots, but I never got to explore the beach caves or play snooker.

The public kitchen is nice and roomy, but it would help if we could get two keys or a keyless PIN lock; we couldn’t access the car park via the back door until 10 am.
