“Lovely enough hotel but poor response to a problem”
The location was fantastic, right in the city centre with shops, restaurants and tourist spots within a short walk. The hotel was modern and trendy, the breakfast was absolutely amazing, the room was cosy and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. When we arrived, we were offered a complimentary drink during check‑in, but the drinks slipped and smashed onto my phone, passport and wallet on the table, soaking everything. I wasn’t upset because mistakes happen, but the staff’s response was poor; they didn’t offer any compensation or goodwill, and we still had to pay for the water we drank from the mini‑bar. I didn’t expect a “deserved” apology, but I left with a damaged phone and passport and would have liked some goodwill gesture.
