“A proper tradition inn”
The room and theme were great, and even though it’s above a pub, the noise from below was minimal. They offered earplugs for light sleepers, and the private mini‑bar was a nice addition. Breakfast service was inconsistent: one morning there was a tray of fruit, yogurt, and cereals in the bar; the next day only cereal; the last day a full continental buffet. When I asked, staff said the buffet only appears when several rooms are occupied, which is fine unless the written instructions claimed it was always available.
